WHILE we all love to jet off to paradise once in a while, there?s nothing better than grabbing a load of friends and having a staycation in the UK.
With some completely unmissable adventures right on our doorstep there?s no need to get out those hideous flight socks and have that pesky small luggage allowance, so pack up your cars and let?s go!
The North
Whether going on a road trip or not, the top is a good place to start, so here a few ideas and slightly different holiday destinations!
Edinburgh ? The old town mixed in with the new crowds and attractions, there?s always something to do and find, Mary King?s Close underground, or to the chic pubs.
Tigerlily boutique hotel offers a luxuriously chic hotel room with a contemporary and modern feel, and it?s right in the center so you won?t miss any action (or have a long walk back from a night out!) ? they even have GHD?s in the room!
Newcastle ? Far from the scenes of Geordie Shore, Newcastle offers some gorgeous scenery and relaxed environments, although if a night out is what you want, you?ve come to the right place!
The Jesmond Dene hotel is to-die-for, offering exquisite scenery and hotel rooms, some even have their own roof terraces! This relaxing hotel also has it?s own delicious restaurant so you don?t have to venture far.
The Midlands
Venturing slightly more southernly, The Midlands is jam packed with excitement! From Sherwood Forrest in Nottingham, to Leicester?s Space Center or Birmingham?s The Bullring shopping center, you won?t be short on things to do around here!
Warwick ? Its rural atmosphere give a great holiday feel with that evening spent at the pub and that day getting lost in its castle?s history.
The Lazy Cow ? it says it all! With four types of room, a cupcake menu and ?swag bag? this eccentric hotel is definitely worth having a look at!
Leicestershire ? With a small city surrounded by beautiful countryside, it?s the best of both worlds, the shopper and the walker!
If it?s the lap of luxury you?re after try Ragdale Hall ? a one-of-a-kind spa vacay in Leicestershire, surrounded by beautiful gowns this is definitely one for the ladies of leisure ? excuse me waiter, another champagne please!
The South
For those London lovers to those Cornwall cravers, the south definitely has something for everyone and of all ages, so clip in your seat belt and start up the car.
London ? Whether it?s the tourist attractions like The London Eye and Buckingham Palace you love, or the Oxford Street or East London shops, or the Michelin Star resturants, London will never fail to deliver.
For the all-out patriot and for all those futuristic loving men, Citizen M is definitely the hotel for you! Eclectic, contemporary and completely new-age, you?ll feel like you?ve walked into the scene of a sci-fi movie!
Devon ? The slightly more underestimated holiday destination, with gorgeous beaches (and not to mention the infamous ice-cream) why not give Devon a go instead of a bustling Cornwall?
For those who imagine Devon to be for the retired, Kaywana Hall is definitely one to change your mind! Grand Designs eat-your-heart-out. With a heated outdoor pool it has that touch of sophistcation, and that is without the incredible architecture!
So there we go, pack up those bags and get going for that staycation ? adventure is only around the corner!
