Currituck coach charged with taking indecent liberties

A Currituck High School volunteer girls basketball coach has been charged with taking indecent liberties with a student.

Nicholas Webster Cahoon, 31, of Elizabeth City was charged Tuesday after an investigation that began in May, said Matt Beickert, chief deputy with the Currituck County Sheriff?s Office. Cahoon was a volunteer coach for the girls basketball team, he said.?

Cahoon was released on a $1,000 bond.
